Lennox Productions

Lennox Productions is a new independent production company led by Hilary Fennell who has a wealth of experience producing and directing critically acclaimed, award winning films for the BBC, BBC Northern Ireland, RTÉ, Screen Ireland and Coimisiún na Meán, specialising in documentary, factual and high-end promotional content focusing on human stories that often stimulate public debate on contemporary issues.
Recent work includes ‘Art Behind Bars’ (BBC Northern Ireland/ BBC Network) demonstrating the power of teaching art in prisons; ‘The Secret Artists’ (BBC Northern Ireland) and ‘Exhibitionists: Road to the RHA’ (RTÉ) both of which celebrate the work of unsung heroes attempting to have their artworks accepted for prestigious public shows. The former was described by Irish Times critic Ed Power as ‘a balm for the mind and spirit in a noisy, overwhelming world’ and the latter by Sunday Times’ critic Liam Fay as a ‘keen eyed documentary which offers unusually candid insight into the practicalities of the unsung artist’s life’.
Past work includes ‘Imagining Ulysses’ a feature documentary about James Joyce’s masterpiece and ’Cherish All The Children’ about the women who refused to give their children up for adoption thus becoming Ireland’s ‘first’ single parents.
