RTÉ and Science Foundation Ireland are hosting a briefing for SPI members on their upcoming Call for Ideas due to be published on the RTÉ commissioning page.

RTÉ, under its joint agreement with Science Foundation Ireland (S.F.I.), are seeking proposals for three one-hour documentaries that have strong, popular science-based themes at heart. Special consideration will be given to proposals that deal with the theme of Ireland in the Digital age and to how technology is impacting on our culture and lives. Of particular interest are subjects like cybercrime and cybersecurity, big data, digital personality and connectedness.
Margie McCarthy and Colm O’Callaghan will discuss the ambition for the joint RTE-SFI programming call to drive science-based programmes and outline some of the pioneering, life-changing research happening in Ireland that may be relevant to this Call for Ideas.
