Sun 13th December 2015
Call for Ideas | RTE Cláracha Gaeilge, Education and Science | Deadline: Midday, Friday 22nd January 2016
Please see below Call for Ideas which went up on RTÉ's commissioning website today.
RTÉ Television has long captured the unique experiences of the Irish deaf and hard of hearing communities. Earlier this year, RTÉ One broadcast two high-end documentaries in it’s prime time schedules - ‘The Sound Barrier’ and ‘These Walls Can Talk’ - that dealt with cochlear implants and the history of St. Joseph’s School For Deaf Boys respectively.
Cláracha Gaeilge, Education and Science is now looking for two, one-off documentaries that continue RTÉ’s commitment to Ireland’s deaf and hard of hearing communities and that will play in the prime-time RTÉ One schedules in 2016.
Proposals should be editorially challenging, can deal with issues or personal stories, can be retrospective or contemporary in tone and can be authored or observational. But all proposals should be rooted in distinct Irish experiences. Proposals that incorporate science and technology aspects are especially attractive.
- Budget | €110,000 per project
- Deadline | 12 pm Friday 22nd of January 2016
- Duration | 2 one off documentaries for the deaf
The closing date for receipt of proposals on the RTÉ eCommissioning system is:
