Screen Producers Ireland are pleased to launch a new Competency Framework for Producers via Screen Ireland’s stakeholders funding. The framework for Producers was launched in the IFI by Screen Ireland on 3 September 2025.
In total, five new Competency Frameworks were launched by Screen Ireland, in collaboration with SPI, Writers Guild of Ireland, Screen Directors Guild of Ireland, Screen Composers Guild of Ireland, and VFX Ireland.
In representing producers, we welcome this timely initiative, which provides a clear structure for skills development, career progression, and talent retention within the screen sector. These frameworks will support better recruitment practices, clarify career pathways, and align training with real industry needs, helping to ensure a more sustainable and professional future for our industry.
