RTÉislooking for an ambitious post watershed hour long entertainment show for RTÉ 2 this autumn. Proposals can be for studio or location based productions and should be tailored to a younger 22 – 44 year old audience.
- Duration: 8 x 60 minute slot
- Budget: To a maximum of €100,000 per programme (inclusive of Format Fees, if applicable) (In exceptional circumstances budgets with a higher cost per hour may be considered. In such circumstances, Producers should supply details as to the background to the increased cost)
- Broadcast: RTÉ 2, Post-Watershed, Autumn 2021
The successful production should engage this audience from the very start. It should really resonate with them.
Do you have a format that you believe is guaranteed to connect with our audience? Does the format feature particular performers presented in a way that will immediately connect with viewers? Or if it’s not performer driven is it set in a world that resonates with our audience and does the relevance of this world mean the show will cut through?
Do you have an idea that is centred around a celebrity interacting with a member or members of the public. Is there a task our audience want to see a performer master or a responsibility we cannot believe they will rise to? What activity, adventure or revelatory journey will your cast be guided on by a celebrity or by a format?
Proposals should have realistic suggestions for any performers etc that will appear in the production included in the submission.
Submissions should include your plan on how to make your production safe in the current Covid-19 pandemic.
