Deadline 12th April 2015
The Broadcasting Act 2009 requires that RTÉ prepare a Public Service Statement every five years.
RTÉ has begun a public consultation process to update its Public Service Statement.
The Public Service Statement, outlines the principles RTÉ will observe, as well as the activities it will undertake, in order to execute its public service commitments. Over the next five weeks RTÉ is asking the public to complete a questionnaire and contribute their views on the future of RTÉ.
The consultation period will close on 12 April 2015 and the responses we receive will help inform the new Statement, which will be published later this year. Full details on the RTÉ website : http://www.rte.ie/serving-our-audience
There are two online versions of the questionnaire.
Option One:
This is the main consultation questionnaire which comprises a series multiple choice questions and some write-in options should these be required. You can answer as many or as few questions as you wish. (Duration approx. 5-10 Minutes)
Option Two:
This option comprises many open-ended questions designed to give you more freedom to tell us what you think RTÉ should be doing and the principles it should observe. We don’t expect that you will want to answer all of these questions but feel free to give your views on as many or as few topics as you wish. (Duration approx. 20+ Minutes)
