Screen Ireland & Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet - Call for applications for Content London delegation

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet have announced that as part of our continued investment in the development of the Irish Television industry, the agency will be promoting the Irish Television production industry at Content London, the world’s leading TV development marketplace and conference.

As part of this investment, Screen Ireland in partnership with the Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet has allocated funding to support a delegation to attend the conference.

Screen Ireland will offer Content London tickets to creatives with projects in development on company slates and producers who are targeting an international TV Development strategy. The opportunity will allow a diverse range of talent to garner international intel in relation to the current television marketplace and further support their roadmap in terms of television production. Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet will offer additional delegate passes to companies at a subsidised rate.

Since Screen Ireland introduced development funding for TV drama in 2015, TV drama production in Ireland has continued to grow and established Ireland as a major player in the international television industry. Irish TV drama has gone from strength to strength in the last few years, with a diverse array of new series and talent reaching international audiences across the globe and receiving major award attention (Normal People, The Dry).

Other Irish events will be organised as part of the event schedule and will be communicated in the coming weeks.

About Content London

Content London 2023 will take place across several venues between 27th-30th November. The development market and conference will feature full three-day agendas across two core content strands of Drama and Formats & Factual. There will also be enhanced Content London Marketplace areas, allowing companies to reserve dedicated spaces for meetings.

Funding

Funding will support initially 25 delegate passes (one per production company) to Content London 2023. Interested applicants should request interest via applications@screenireland.ie (Subject Line: Content London). An expression of interest document outlining your key objectives and rationale for attending Content London should be included. The deadline for receipt of applications is 5pm, 4th October 2023.

Additionally, Cultural and Creative Industries Skillnet have a number of subsidised delegate passes for Content London 2023. CCIS are offering passes at the subsidised rate of 850euro (inclusive of VAT) representing a 39% saving from the current rate of 1199GBP/1392euro. To avail of the discounted rate, simply register via this link before 5pm, 18th October 2023. Details on how to access your pass will be sent the following week.
