SPI & SGI – Work Life Balance Panel Discussion & Launch at Galway Film Fleadh 2024
Wed 10th July 2024
Screen Producers Ireland and Screen Guilds of Ireland are launching a new Work Life Balance best practice guide which is intended to promote flexibility for everyone working in production (crew and producers).
The guide informs on best practice approaches on managing the working day such as split days, meal breaks, night shoots etc.
It also includes key provisions of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023, which allows requests to be made for flexible working, domestic violence leave and leave for medical or caring purposes.
This best practice guide has been published to complement the SPI/SIPTU Shooting Crew Agreement 2021.
A panel discussion will take place on Saturday 13 July from 10:30 – 12:30 in the Veranda Lounge of the Galmont Hotel, Galway.
The panel will consist of producers and crew and their experiences of the importance of work life balance on set.
