Screen Producers Ireland Chairman, John Hennessy, welcomes the appointment of Moya Doherty as Chair of the RTÉ Board.

I look forward to my new role as Chair of the RTÉ Board. It is a great honour.
I look forward to standing with all of you as you continue to tell the truly important stories RTÉ has been telling so well for almost a century.
I look forward also to supporting the creative talent and commitment to Public Service Media that exists within RTÉ; to hearing voices both from RTÉ and from the independent sector tell with words, music and images the complex changing story of a modern Ireland.
I look forward to working with a committed Board, with the Director-General and the Executive; to guiding the organisation through uncertain times; to hearing your questions and to listening to you.
